OK here is the story my 1995 dodge ram was slipping in second gear no biggie thinking to self needs a service not to bad. then I found out this:
This was found in the tranny pan.
before the new medering pate and balls.
all the gears!!!
burnt clutch pack disks
torque converter burnt and smothered out.
retaingring burnt and busted!
OK after the new balls and new metering plate was put in the tech put in all new parts and built it to RV spec and put in a double capacity heavy duty torque converter, was told by the tech I had about 5o miles and then the trany would have totally granaded on me. so after a tune of $3700 the ram has all new rebuilt tranny better then new....
